Excellent camera, but please update the firmware to the latest version. It fixes a lot of bugs related to security and connectivity. The camera itself is crystal clear both day and night. In fact, it has one of the best night vision views I've seen. Also, dont bother with using the Amcrest Cloud service. Just use a free FTP hosting company, or upload the files to your desktop computer. Lastly, if you want to view the cameras on a computer, download Amcrest Surveillance Pro, which is free, from their site. It will let you easily view the cameras without logging in to a webpage each time.

Thanks. Can you give an example of a free ftp host?

I use Fedora Linux for an internet firewall into my house and host FTP on it to record events from Amcrest cameras. The video never needs to leave the house. I use a cron job to copy the files to a local SMB (Samba) server (on same linux box) and delete from the FTP folder.

I then use the free IrfanView program on Windows to search the jpg images from several days. I just hold the arrow key as it flashes through the many many events (more when there is rain or fog). Then I delete most everything, rarely saving stuff – maybe a cat or two. (The crazy Mexican drug dealer is long gone. He used to go back and forth and back and forth.)

All this because I once yelled at evil homeless jerks for pooping near my home, who then slashed my tires. I use the 4mg and 3mg bullet cameras, but the process would likely be the same.

Can't vouch for this indoor camera. But my Amcrest bullet cams have been running solid outdoors for over a year with no problems.

Yes, http://www.hostingadvice.com/how-to/free-web-hosting/ or just Google free hosting providers. You should know that some companies will ban you for uploading video and not using it as a website host, though. I pay for my hosting company, to have unlimited space (WebHostFace). Also, you can buy a product called BlueIris and it will let you save images/video to your computer. Your computer has to be on, all the time, though. Lastly, you can always set up a local FTP server using FileZilla FTP Server, but again, the computer would need to be on all the time.
