^ You can also frame a hole in the wall, handy when HOA's state you can't have a window A/C but nothing about a wall A/C.

I don't think this works with SmartThings. I don't see anywhere it would connect to. They have their own app which is really crappy, but it works. I have two fridgedaire (this one but 8k btu) and another one that is a different look (also wifi enabled. They work well, except this one lights up the whole room when you make a change from Econ to cool to fan, or change a temp setting.
