good price but will drive last. a lot of the reviews out there report DOA or failure within a year.

You get what you pay for which is why Seagate is usually the cheapest.

I've got 4 of them running 24x7 in my NAS for over 2 years now, and knock on wood, they're still trucking along without issues.

I've been following the 4TB HDDs for the whole last year. This is the best price for this drive... by far. By $25-$30, actually. I doubt Black Friday/Cyber Monday would beat it.

I agree this is a good price. but has anyone else noticed that almost all 3-4 TB drives have higher than avg failure ratings? even the WD green and reds i have seen lately have a lot of failures reported.
3-4 TB is a lot of data to lose and it's expensive to mirror to protect against a failure... this drive at 90 may be the best bet to buy 2 and mirror so you can feel more comfortable with all that data on 1 drive.
