The labeling these days are so bad... don't be fooled by "heavy duty" 16/3 is anything but heavy duty. You can power light stuff such as a fan, some lights, weed whacker.... but that's probably where you'll want to stop. You won't want to run anything that generates heat like a heater with it.

#16 wire 100 ft.???? Don't try to run any high amperage device with this. Go #12 if you do. This is anything but heavy duty.

I never focus on marketing. Criteria are whether the insulation is meant to hold up outdoors, whether the gauge suits the load and length, whether that gauge is copper or copper clad aluminum being factored in, and the price.

This would do fine for a corded string trimmer or hedge trimmers, where the lower weight is a virtue, or a *sane* amount of LED Christmas lights or a Halloween blow up decoration, though for across-lawn use, there's arguments on both sides for whether you want a high visibility orange cord so people see it and avoid tripping over it as easily, or want a green or at least black cord so it isn't as visible.
