Man these are way too expensive. I bought something like this a while back for $1000. I get inflation - but I can buy stoves/dish washing machines at or around the same prices 8 years ago. Why refrig explode in price?

^ Maybe post-Covid pricing still, remembering there was a shortage of refrigerators at the time?

Then again, make it stainless and fancier than the traditional side by side or top and bottom doors and then it falls into a luxury price tier.

I wonder if refrigerators are also being forced to move away from R134A like HVAC units in 2025?

... Yeah it looks like it, 2025 and then vehicles are delayed till 2028, IF the info I saw is accurate/current.
