Thise expanding hoses are a pain. They constantly 'fight' with you to spring back while you're using it.

I had a couple and they all failed. Questionable design idea and just not reliable in general. Spring leaks, after some light use. I guess if you are super careful to the ultra degree, you can get them to be in service for a few months. I ended up buying steel-coated hoses and their service life is just so much longer. Garden is a tough place.

I've gotten the best life out of all rubber hoses with brass ends. They're heavy and black rubs off on clothing but you just get used to handling them.
