There is just no way to find this device elsewhere. The tease of a fine 15" magnet-tipped solution such as this is what keeps me searching the innerwebs til morning. Curse you alluring throwaway gadget!!!
How often do you drop things that weigh up to 50lbs?
For me it's always something little like a 10mm socket or a bolt in an engine bay and I can use my Magnet-On-A-Stick™ which is just a magnet I tore out of an old hard drive, with a piece of wire wrapped around to keep it married to a ~15" steel shaft from an old zerox copy machine.
Anyway, there are lots of other magnetic pickup tools near this price point. Might not be as high as 50lbs rated but sometimes that is too much and it ends up sticking to anything on the way down or up out of the crevice.
