^ Yes usually but this is not all that loud at 65dB. There are the larger cylinder size but lower RPM, ultra quiet oilless offerings from California Air, Harbor Freight Fortress, etc. They also cost a lot more, with similar capacity/performance still around 60+ dB.

This is a good deal at $89.
