I have the stand-alone version of this grill. IT IS INCREDIBLE. It's not ceramic, but some kind of insulation sandwiched between metal. it is very heavy and durably built...very substantial. And it cooks beautifully as either a grill, smoker, or outdoor charcoal oven. Love it. This is a great deal...I paid $300 at Kroger.

Ditto the previous review, great grill, I'm on my 2nd one, due to poor care not poor quality, still lasted nearly 4 years. Very good heat control and capable of very high heat. Great deal, I bought the stand alone version for $269 at Menards.

Get this NOW! I have had my Akorn (not with cart) for 4 years and have upped my bbq skills greatly. I've done tritip, ribs (both beef and pork), pizza, salmon, burgers, hot dogs and all kinds of chicken. It's a smoker, grill and pizza oven. Great deal because the Akorn alone is great, a cart to for a work surface and the below shelf for lump coal and accessories is a bonus.
