still too expensive for me... but I'm sure an audiophile will love them, plus its a great stocking stuffer!

Audiophiles don't think much of Bose. Their gear is usually good (construction) quality but narrow frequency response and higher priced than equal and more competent alternatives. However that is only a generalization. These do get good

I do not care for Bose or (dare I even say their name) Beats. If you really want a good set of headphones check out the Shure brand even the lower end Shure SE215-K priced at around $99 are a way better choice.
