Beware!
Amazon
will normally have something for $20 with a suggested retail price of $100 that no one ever sells it for. Then on Prime Day the item will be $19 and
Amazon
will claim it is 81% off when it is really 5% off. They have been pulling this for years. Do not be scammed. Try not to buy anything until they are honest.

^ Many merchants have been pulling this for years, claiming very high MSRP then the recurring sale price is much lower.

I would instead buy based on whether you need that widget and whether it's the best price, how likely that waiting longer would result in a lower price. If a price is TOO good, someone will just snatch them all up and resell for profit on
ebay
or wherever.
