Following up yesterday’s AAA-filled Games with Gold announcement<\/a> from Microsoft is today’s PS Plus August 2015 indie-filled offerings. For anyone who isn’t prejudiced against games that fail to take up at least 15 percent of your hard drive, it’s a solid list.<\/p>\n

Each game begins its free month on Tuesday, Aug. 4. And don’t forget, you still have time to pick up July’s games<\/a> in the meantime if you want to get in on the car soccer frenzy everyone’s talking about.<\/p>\n

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris<\/strong><\/p>\n

This follow-up to 2010’s well-received\u00a0Lara Croft and the Guardians of Light\u00a0<\/em>eschews the overt seriousness of the current AAA reboot series and capitalizes on one undeniable truth – video games are more fun with other people around. Four-player co-op in the puzzle\/monster-laden treasure troves of Lara’s original adventures is as silly and entertaining as it sounds. It shouldn’t be tough to find fellow tomb raiders now that the game is free for a month.<\/p>\n

An indie classic from the previous generation is making its double-dip rounds, inviting players back into the somber and engrossing adventure of a boy trying to find his sister in some nebulous place. Inspiring many and surpassed by none,\u00a0Limbo\u00a0<\/em>does simple and precarious like no other, trading the popular bubbly color present elsewhere for bleak atmosphere and dire consequence. It’s short but incalculably\u00a0memorable.<\/p>\n

Honestly, this one’s a bit tough to describe. It’s a game easily overlooked as a 2D-platformer with noticeably pretentious ambitions, but\u00a0the overall presentation – from the peculiar environmental designs and dynamically-integrated soundtrack – validate the pretentious vibes and transform it into a viable success.
