Seth Rogen looks downtrodden and used, he&#8217;s Steve Wozniak. Jeff Daniels is there. Oh yeah, Aaron Sorkin wrote this thing. He turned Daniels into Don Quixote on\u00a0<em>The Newsroom<\/em>.\u00a0Now he&#8217;s turning Fassbender into a man, for all the public desecration, who is now and forever (or as long as computers last) an icon.\u00a0<em>Steve Jobs<\/em>, the movie about Jobs with the best chance at actually defining the man for future generations, is here.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"620\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IeOxo7o9T8Q\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The much publicized film is finally exiting its ringer of exiting directors and movie stars, landing Sorkin&#8217;s script in the hands of Danny Boyle (<em>127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire<\/em>) and the titular role in Fassbender&#8217;s proven hands. Looks like he&#8217;s going for the voice too, following Daniel Day Lewis as\u00a0<em>Lincoln\u00a0<\/em>with a lot more material to play around with (there are no recordings of Lincoln&#8217;s voice).<\/p>\n<p>Boyle is a master of scene framing and Sorkin is a master of scene setting. It&#8217;s been reported that\u00a0<em>Steve Jobs\u00a0<\/em>is actually just three long scenes, like <em>The<\/em>\u00a0<em>Avengers\u00a0<\/em>of Oscar-bait. If anyone can pull it off, it&#8217;s the endless windpipe attached to Sorkin&#8217;s lionizing brain. Thankfully, the quick trailer hints at hints of skepticism. Of course, Sorkin is only a skeptic as far as an optimism can understand it.<\/p>\n<p>But, before the tale of this movie&#8217;s making fades into the tale of the movie itself, let&#8217;s not forget that American culture couldn&#8217;t wait for Jobs to die. Ashton Kutcher benefited the most, in a relative sort of way. His looks never landed him a job faster in his life, and that&#8217;s saying something.\u00a0<em>Jobs,\u00a0<\/em>of course, was a joke, but not in on the joke.
