Here are the 2014 Sales Tax Free Weekends for Back to School Shopping

In addition to saving money on product categories during specific months, 16 participating states have tax-free holidays that will allow you to purchase back to school items without paying additional taxes. However, be aware that there are specific restrictions on those holidays.

For instance, the majority of states limit the tax benefit to clothing purchases up to $100. If you live in a state like Louisiana, you can get huge tax savings on the purchase of a new computer due to the large $2,500 allowance. FYI to North Carolina residents: Lawmakers in your state repealed the sales tax free weekend after 2013 and will not be participating this year.
