Some announcements dropping on Force Friday, there’s an entirely new batch of board games that are taking advantage of the characters in The Force Awakens. Check out some of our favorites, which includes some classic games as well:

Star Wars Monopoly

Described as a faster-paced version of traditional Monopoly, this new, kid-friendly version of the classic game includes four characters (2 Light side / 2 Dark side) as well as Force cards that impact the outcome of the game. (MSRP: $25)

Star Wars: Armada

Designed for strategic players, this game simulates spaceship battles that could potentially occur in the Star Wars universe. This set includes three pre-painted capital ship miniatures and ten unpainted fighter squadrons as well as over 130 cards and tokens. Star Wars Loopin’ Chewie

Basically a branded twist on the Loopin’ Louie game, Chewbacca flies around in a mini Millennium Falcon and the player has to protect their stormtroopers from Chewie when he swings by. It’s a great game for really young players who are just getting into Star Wars, rated for ages 4 and up. (MSRP: $25)

Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Designed for two to five players, Imperial Assault includes two games: a campaign game where you play heroes of the Rebellion, engaging in missions to battle the Imperial armies, and a skirmish game that allows two players to manage strike teams and battle at Imperial bases and other cinematic Star Wars environments. Risk: Star Wars Edition

Taking place in the final battles of Return of the Jedi, either two or four players can jump into the roles of the Rebel Alliance or Galactic Empire and work up to the final battle for the Death Star. It’s recommended for ages 10 and up. (MSRP: $30)

Star Wars Battleship

R2-D2 Is In Trouble

Based around the Clone Wars version of R2-D2, this modified version of Trouble also integrates the animated characters C-3PO, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Droids, General Grievous and Count Dooku. Ideal for kids ages 5 and up. (MSRP: $25)

Edge of the Empire Beginner Game

Basically a learn-as-you-go adventure for role players, this set comes with 14 custom dice as well as pre-generated character folios for three to five players. The game is recommended for ages 12 and up. (MSRP: $30)
