Announced in a blog post yesterday, Best Buy’s $200-per-year Totaltech service has gone live at all stores in the United States. Totaltech is a service that provides unlimited tech support access as well as perks like product protection, free delivery / installs, repair discounts, an expanded 60-day return window and free haul-away of old tech / appliances.

In addition, it also comes with a newly announced perk: “exclusive access to some of the season’s hardest-to-find products”. We can reasonably predict that this will include hard to find game consoles like the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch OLED. It’s likely that it will also include NVIDIA 30XX series video cards as well as Apple products like the iPhone 13 Pro.

Best Buy plans to provide special pricing & deals on this exclusive inventory starting on October 18, bringing back a promotion from last year called Member Mondays. While My Best Buy members will also have access to some Member Monday deals (free to join), it’s likely that TotalTech members will get either an exclusive window to the same deals or specific inventory held back. In the past, Member Monday was a 24-hour event, starting at midnight.

When exclusive deals are released, we will provide the information in the main Ben’s feed as well as a cost benefit analysis of the subscription service. For instance, if you are purchasing a new, large television this year, Totaltech could turn out to be a good deal if you are planning on having it wall-mounted. Best Buy charges $200 for delivery & wall-mounting, the cost of 1 year of TotalTech which includes free delivery and installation.

It’s highly likely that Best Buy will continue to sell high-demand products outside of Totaltech as well. The retailer has been particularly proficient at holding in-store events for items like the PS5 and NVIDIA 3080 graphics card recently, basically sending inventory to specific stores and having interested customers line up outside the store.
