<div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;" class="sharethis-inline-share-buttons" ></div><p>Another month, another great Humble Mobile Bundle to add to the gaming backlog.  This time around, it&#8217;s a simple theme: Roguelikes, the super hard genre of dungeon exploring and item management based on the classic game Rogue.  Given it&#8217;s a genre more about thinking through moves and strategy than twitch reactions, it&#8217;s a great genre for the less precise controls of a smartphone.  Let&#8217;s see what the bundle has to offer:</p>
<h3>$1 Tier</h3>
<p><strong>Desktop Dungeons</strong></p>
<p><iframe title="Desktop Dungeons: Adventuring 101" width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aZS1wNXtvTo?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Desktop Dungeons is a bit of a classic in terms of rougelikes&#8211;as its name suggests, it began as simple desktop game, with one screen to work through strategically.  The core of the game stays the same, but now it&#8217;s on your phone!  It&#8217;s perfect for idle moments while waiting in line or something similar.</p>
<p><strong>bit Dungeon I</strong></p>
<p><iframe title="Bit Dungeon Official Trailer" width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/5XOSbDncMdU?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>bit Dungeon is a real-time roguelike, so the enemies aren&#8217;t going to wait for you to come to them before attacking.  However, bit Dungeon is a very simplistic game, as there are not special skills or anything of the like you have to activate on the fly.  Just get in there and start slashing!</p>
<p><strong>bit Dungeon II</strong></p>
<p><iframe title="bit Dungeon II Gameplay Trailer" width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/XFliOzeWYR0?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Being a sequel, bit Dungeon II offers a bunch of improvements over the original game, including nicer graphics and more varied looking locales.  Judging by this PC trailer, it&#8217;s clearly made for mobile controls, too!</p>
<h3>$5 Tier</h3>
<p><strong>Pixel Heroes: Byte &amp; Magic</strong></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="The Making of Pixel Heroes" width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/MywzEfHUjOQ?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Pixel Heroes is a very content heavy roguelike that&#8217;ll give you a lot of bang for your buck.  There are three campaigns to work through, 30 classes to unlock, and just a whole bunch of stuff to work through.  This is definitely the game of the bundle that will keep you entertained for hours.</p>
<p><strong>Road Not Taken</strong></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Road Not Taken Launch Trailer" width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tg7XSGNKySg?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Road Not Taken is a beautiful roguelike puzzle game, in which you&#8217;re trying to save children that have gotten lost in the woods.  Each area is randomly generated, and it&#8217;s of utmost importance to try and save as many kids as possible, as it affects the world around you.</p>
<p><strong>Dungelot: Shattered Lands</strong></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Dungelot: Shattered Lands Launch Trailer" width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/MlCBJOGA8zM?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Dungelot is pretty similar to Desktop Dungeons at its core, with a different coat of paint.  Like Desktop Dungeons, you tackle single rooms, but Dungelot is a bit more connected with its world, and the rooms are a bit smaller so they&#8217;re quite a bit easier to clear&#8230; not that Dungelot is easy, of course.</p>
<h3>Beat the Average Tier</h3>
<p><strong>Heroes of Loot 2</strong></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Heroes of Loot 2 - procedural dungeon crawling action adventure" width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/AqQUOFtUfK8?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Heroes of Loot 2 stands out from the other roguelikes by allowing you to control two characters at once.  Because of that, you can fine tune your character choices a bit more to your playstyle, as you can choose what you want to focus on in terms of damage dealing and taking.</p>
<p><strong>Sproggiwood</strong></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Sproggiwood Trailer 1080p" width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/k4IGxuuMWG0?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Most roguelikes don&#8217;t have really in-depth plots due to the permadeath nature of the genre, but Sproggiwood is a story driven roguelike to enjoy.  Based on Finnish lore, you&#8217;re a prisoner of Sproggi and must follow his orders to be free&#8230; but with a civilization on the line, it&#8217;s up to you how you want to handle your path to freedom.</p>
<p><strong>Star Chindy: SciFi Roguelike</strong></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Star Chindy: SciFi Roguelike - Gameplay Trailer" width="620" height="349" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tTOOPWOU-1I?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Star Chindy definitely stands out here as it&#8217;s quite a bit different from the rest of the games in the bundle.  Star Chindy is a rogue-like, but it also has real-time ship and unit battles, making this almost feel like a strategy title with higher stakes.  It also has some pretty advanced 3D graphics for a mobile game for its genre, so if your phone can handle it, it&#8217;s worth giving a try for the spectacle alone.</p>
<p>Which games do you enjoy the most from this bundle?  Let us know in the comments!</p>
