If you have an ASUS X570 motherboard, you can easily push the base speed to 4GHz just by setting "Optimal" in the BIOS. I haven't had any overheating and my Cinebench score went up by a couple hundred points.
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X has a Passmark score of 32,868. 12 Cores and 24 Threads. Clockspeed is 3.8 Ghz, can be pushed to 4.6 Ghz. Keep in mind buying a cpu/mb at the same time drops the price $20, and using the Microcenter Visa card saves another 5% off purchase total. Can anyone recommend a mini-ix or micro-atx board for this awesome cpu.
