These smart TVs spy on you. Better to get a TV with lots of ports and a media player, Better long term support, features and upgradeability.

Hisense is Chinese State-owned Enterprise. The cost of this TV is literally $10 due to its raw material and costless labor.

If your media player has internet access, it can spy on you the same as a smart TV can, but I agree that there is benefit in having a separate dongle for smart features and not an android TV, not even if you only use the smart dongle and never the android smarts because it's always doing things in the background and can crash the whole TV, even if turned off but still plugged into the wall.
