You can I suppose. Two of our rovers on mars use this basic principal for power. (+Vger1, Vger2, etc..)
But that heat is coming from decaying Plutonium-238. And that's only ~110Wh...(I believe....) It's very inefficient.
Whatever heat that's extracted from Mr. Heater would need to be replenished by burning more propane. Unless it's cooling off and you're done showering, etc.
They fail miserably at clearly stating this device generates it's heat from propane. The batteries are just for the water pump. (bucket to device to shower head)
