1 year warranty, which says a lot about how much confidence they put into their device. Pass. Not worth the hassle.

@LJW, I head a lot about Seagate vs WD, I have had both over the years and the only two drive failures I have had were WD. The WD Refurbs have actually lasted me the longest, haha. Obviously anecdotal, but that has been my experience.

I hear you, and I've had many more drive failures than you've had, and from both manufacturers. Depends on the year and the series, they've all had their bad runs. But one thing I learned, when they offer you a lousy 1 year warranty, they don't really put much faith in that series -- and neither do I.

Dang I got this model last summer for $154.

I use it for 4K video storage and so far so good!
Just dont store a database or do a lot of video conversions etc on it and these drives will work fine.
I have 2 8TB Seagates and no issues as well.

Hmmm.. i need this. Lately I've been finding the need to eliminate some of my autoerotic entertainment material in order to make room for more. I hate throwing away perfectly good content.
