I get the feeling it is a wired camera and on top of that you will need a recording unit. But then again I may be wrong , there is no info or detail about the camera on the site. I was expecting an app but at this price I will have to bust out my Tube TV to view footage. Haha

I have the swann thermal cameras and they are amazing. These sell for $100 per camera so it is still a deal. You can get the dvr starting at $80. These are wired though

The fact that you need a DVR with BNC connectors, killed the deal. It goes to tell you these cameras are going the way of the dinosaurs.. Cloud Recording over WiFi is the way to go.

Definitely some unanswered questions. I'd be weary of 4 cameras for 50 bucks.

Yep, BNC is an old connection but what is a new connector? HDMI? I have pulled literally MILES of cables for video systems and can tell you that BNC connectors are the way to go because it is the standard. It can be easily converted to RCA with a readily available connector and is universal with any bnc equipped DVR out there. To my knowledge there is no such thing as a security cam DVR with HDMI. You can pay for cloud storage forever as a recurring cost or you can own your own storage for the price of a cheap DVR and a hard drive. All you need to do to is purchase a Western Digital Purple drive(they are indestructible) and the thing will run for decade with proper ventilation and you'll have months of CONTINUOUS footage at your fingertips locally. Cloud storage is great if all you need is snippets but snippet recording misses the things you need the most when you are trying to watch an entire event.

Oh Yea, This is a great deal.

This might be a good deal if you already have a DVR or a camera system and want to add cameras to it.

DVR required. I personally went with the Blink XT2. Decent enough for the resolution.

I have these set up at my business but only had 12 cameras so bought 4 more. These work great and have a nice picture.

Oh Yea, This is a great deal.

The alternative is ethernet. With a PoE switch you can power the camera and integrate it into a customized ip based dvr solution.
