Canon has become so stagnant. The Canon TX series cameras seem so incredibly lackluster compared to the competition these days. My T3i (600D) is just about as good as this and it was released over eight years ago.
I would so much rather go for a Sony 6100 or Fuji XT-30 around that $700 mark.

As far as basic photography, not a heck of a lot. But the 7 has Blutooth, NFC, WIFI, bigger range ISO, faster processing, startup etc.
That 55-250mm IS II lens is so old it's really worth nothing. It is not auto focus or STM.
In about 2 weeks Canon will come out with their BF Sale on refurbished products. They still have a 1 year warranty. Best deals if you want a Canon.
The zoom lens does have Auto-Focus, what it doesn't have is image stabilization. The 18-55mm lens sucks big time when recording video and tries to autofocus, it will record the noise from the motor as it focuses.., what heck!
