That's weird. Usually woot carries stuff that flopped in the market for whatever reason. Either the servers are going down and the hardware will be an orphan, or the idea was clever but the execution somehow lacking, whatever. When you shop Woot, you know you're getting something suboptimal.
But this torch has been the de-facto standard in industry for decades, it's incredibly reliable, and there's nothing even a little wrong with it. How did it end up here? Are they coming out with a new model or something?
Have one of these, have had it forever, and love it. It is the rare tool that does exactly what it is supposed to and does it every time. I honestly don't know if it can be improved.
I'm a little surprised to admit that while I bought it as a tool, I use it more in the kitchen than for anything else (not that much low temperature brazing going on in my workshop; more brulee-ing).
