The last few switch deals from Rakuten, including this one, have included retailers with reviews stating goods are open box. Even though you are purchasing from the Rakuten site, you are dealing with the selling retailer for the return.

Replying @apizzle23... lite is smaller and only intended for mobile play. Although you can play same games with full you can actually dock it and play on your tv.

@Apizzle23
The biggest difference would be that the lite can't be played on your TV, is smaller, and doesn't have joy-cons (the controller part is built into the console). The size difference plus built in controller parts, rather than detachable, means that it is overall much sturdier and capable of taking abuse. It also has a real D-Pad, rather than four buttons, since it doesn't have to be able to detach and act as a mini controller.

If you don't really intend to use docked mode, the lite is a pretty obvious choice; if you want both portable and docked (or only docked), well, only the non-lite version let's you do that. So it really depends on how you intend to use it.

Thanks. I've been wondering about these Switch deals on Rakuten. They seem too good. If there were nothing wrong with them, I'd consider them instead of getting a Switch Lite. But if the deal's questionable, I'm not so sure.

32GB is not enough to fill all of my gaming needs. At least 2TB, maybe...

highly recommend the Nintendo switch. if you have kids 4 years and older and/out you want to play classic games like super Mario Bros. Nintendo is the perfect platform, especially when playing online and parental controls are awesome. I reminded switch lite only if you've already got it's big brother already

This looks like a good deal. Plus the game is one I would like. Can't tell from the description if this is a refurbished one.

Great deal with the game. I recently purchased the Switch v2, it's been great! I would recommend getting a pro controller.

Nintendo really hit it out of the park with the Switch. This is a decent price for the v.2 console and game. But, as others have noted, Rakuten can sometimes require some extra diligence when purchasing.
