is scathing. This is total ****. All plastic. Minimal magnification. Horrible optics.

I bought this and think it's pretty good. It's not a ton of magnification but it's well built and the optics are good. Great for casual use.

Wait....isn't a telescope, by its very nature, a monocular??

Monocular: of, relating to, or for the use of only one eye
Telescope: reflecting telescope has a concave mirror that gathers light from the object and focuses it into an adjustable eyepiece
