I have a slightly bigger model and it's just ok on a large desk with a large monitor. The light throw is pretty narrow and the height of the arm/length of the top light portion is not really well suited to my desk - to throw light directly down onto the workspace, the light would have to be blocking part of my monitor. the dimming feature works well, the color tones are fine and the extra USB port (on mine - not sure if this one has one) is a nice addition to charge a phone/etc. The on/off switch is a bit weird - you have to hold it down for a few seconds to get it to go back to the last intensity chosen before turning it off, or it starts out at the lowest setting. Same with turning it off. All in all, it's an ok lamp maybe for a smaller desk. $10 for this one seems about right.
