    I'd imagine that if you apply the old style (pre-smartphone) cards to this phone, that they won't triple the minutes/texts/data, will apply at a 1X face value rate. AFAIK, everything TF released after April 1st 2017 no longer triples. More info here:

    Just like to say that all of the refurbs I have purchased from Tracfone have been in 'as new' condition. I own this model and am very pleased with it and as dave_c states there is no triple time but sometimes there are codes for increasing talk minutes. As for Total Wireless I know it works the other way around so if you have a sim card it should be OK.
