Not everything needs to be “smart” Why are you competing against your existing products that do much more and cost less (echo dot) than an antiquated time piece with limited functionality? People who buy clocks these days probably want a fancy one to show off in their homes, which this piece of plastic clearly doesn’t do.
This is a new product, why is It a good deal? The price will go down eventually and this is a very small clock. Removed from Sizzling! This is not a good deal.
It looks like the clock that is in my office. It's plain and it's ugly. I honestly wouldn't put it in my garage or basement.
I also think that the people over on the Echo development team are missing the main point of their own products. That point is that people don't want to have to pull out a phone to look something up or to walk to a light switch to turn something on or off or to look up at a clock! When I want to know how long is left on a timer I ask Alexa how long is left on the timer I don't need to take the extra step of walking back in the kitchen to look at the clock.
My Alexa toilet is being shipped, I shall be able to ask "Alexa, do you like taking sh*t now?", but the way, i can also set a timer with it, so it will remind me to finish sh*ting and stop playing my cell phone
