    Just bought this tv...great bang for the buck...poor sound though...4 year extended warranty is $32...tv+warranty+tax= $278.00 total for me.

    I bought the 50" Komodo (same company) for 180 and am happy with it so far. Sound not nearly as bad as others I've heard but a sound bar is much better, of course. The last Scepter I had lasted about 5 years before failing. It was plugged into a surge suppressor, too.
