You may possibly NOT receive this credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. Many of use like to use various payment apps with our cell phone in order to increase security or to get other benefits. However, you run the risk of that payment being PROCESSED by the third party APP and NOT directly. It will NOT matter if you save the Best Buy receipt and try and talk to AMEX directly as technically you are not following the terms. So if you are trying to take advantage of this deal, go into your AMEX online account and select this reward and then do a DIRECT purchase.
