Ryobi is one of the better quality power tool makers these days. I wonder how many die hard DeWalt fans don't even realize DeWalt is owned and made by Black and Decker!

I'm a big Ryobi fan and just got their 10" sliding miter saw last Christmas. The 7-1/4in one might give you hassles with wider boards, but would be fine for thin pieces like for crown molding for example.

Already have bunch of Ryobi tools, they've worked great for moderate home use. The 6Ah and 2 4Ah is very temping though

I don't know about the 6Ah or the 4Ah but I got the Ryobi 1.3Ah 18v ONE + and it sucks, it last exactly only 10min of usage.

^ If you mean only 10 minutes running the saw, sure, most people wouldn't even try to power the saw with a 1.3Ah pack. As you'd expect, a 6Ah pack will last over 4X as long, AND make the saw more powerful because there's two parallel series of cells instead of one series, allowing more current.

Agreed, that, or this miter saw seem to be the best value. Most of the other items can normally be had for around $119, but in those kits they're with a 4Ah battery instead of 6Ah.

The starter battery isn't worth it. Do yourself a favor and get some 4AH batts - you won't be disappointed.
