This is a great milestone. The mechanical bearings and parts inside a spinning-rust HDD set a "price floor" of about $40, regardless of capacity. They can sometimes be found cheaper on clearance and stuff, but as an honest price, $40 is about as low as they can make money.
SSDs, on the other hand, are roughly as mechanically complex as the controller board on a spinning HDD, minus all the mechanism. They have a much lower price floor, comparable to that of USB flash drives. (Maybe a dollar or two higher based on the SATA connector and larger PCB area, but m.2 and other standards are surmounting those issues, too!)
So to see a brand-new SSD, without rebate or other promo pricing, going below the $40 mark in a truly-useful size, is a great milestone. Even if it's a **** brand. Remember this day.

No DOA or customers telling us that it had any issues.
Just remember the speeds are *Up to *
But read/write usually like 350-450/275-350
There m.2 I believe we're exactly as advertised.

Is this the first I'm seeing sub $120/TB? (The $60 480GB is $59.99, and I'm counting it as 1/2 TB, even though it's not 512).
I'd say that's another milestone, with $100/TB the next one. But probably not for Black Friday.
Thank you!
