For those of you old enough to remember Graveyard Mall, they'd often have deals on sunglasses like this one. After ordering them, I quickly realized why they were so inexpensive. These are sunglasses that were in retail stores but they didn't sell. Probably because they're scratched, bent, broken, or defective. I think out of two dozen pairs I had three that were passable. Know what you're buying, before you buy.
^above said it better. i bought the men's & woman's deal last month. literally, there were like 7 detached/broken sunglasses in the box. granted, they were "brand name", but holy shish kabobs this is a toilet deal. shame on leothelion. and on ben.
Ugh I already ordered before seeing any comments. I wasn't expecting them to be great, but I just assumed they'd be usable. I hope I will get lucky when they arrive, but I am not counting on it. I never had to worry about Ben's posting scam deals before :(
First, I miss Graveyard Mall. Second, the sunglasses I ordered were always brand new and still in the protective plastic sleeve. Nothing scratched or bent. YMMV. I ordered them because for less than the price of one in stores, I could usually find a style I liked and keep a spare in the car for passengers or to sell to friends for cost.
I ordered the "2 pairs for $7.XX" deal a few weeks ago, they were retail $20/ea, but they weren't damaged, just needed a little cleaning. I keep sunglasses all over the place, my eyes are very sensitive to light since my LASIK surgery...
Just a side note, I work in the same small town where these are shipped from. :)
I received mine, and it didn't turn out as the comments above described. There are at least 4 or 5 that I would stylistically wear regularly, and none of them were outright broken. Two of them were very small almost as if they were made for teens not women... But small glasses are in right now (yuck) so who knows?
Maybe I just got lucky but it turned out to be a great deal for me!
Received ours yesterday, just two different brands but they had similar style tags so basically the same manufacturer, Foster Grant. Not bad in terms of selection but they were all thrown in the same box without any packing materials and not individually wrapped. Feel cheated but at least they're UV coated which my wife needs and none of the dollar store types had them.
