I read a few reviews of these, and I'd say that they're worth it if you put them in a high drain situation. In low drain use, alkalines seem to be about the same durability.
The best use for these, IMHO, is low-temperature operation, or items that have to sit dormant for years, like your glovebox flashlight.
They're also nice for body-worn stuff like headlamps, because they weigh so little, but I assume all those applications are using rechargeables anyway since you're probably putting a lot of hours on them.
They're also good for extremely low discharge devices where alkaline batteries would run down as much from their age as the device using them, for example clocks, or infrequently used remote controls.
