Ok. So this is the RBK23, which is normally priced around $279, so it's not the $500 set. Secondarily, Orbi was known for NOT being true mesh (rather, it was hub and spoke). In a firmware update, some of the higher models (e.g., the RBS50) went to daisy chain (true mesh). It's stated as such in the firmware upgrade release notes. However, on these units' (RBR20, RBS20) firmware upgrade, I DO NOT see the reference to daisy chain (true mesh), so these may not be true mesh, even with the new firmware updates.
