Been down the refillable road. Messy, slow, machine has trouble pushing water through finer grinds necessary for bold cups of coffee. I ended up throwing all my refillables away. I am more then happy to pay the additional cost for a KCup I can simply toss after use. Landfill overload and all.
I suppose I can concede to the convenience factor of these... but if you use a reusable in conjunction with a larger grind, you can minimize the sediment and save lots of cash, have better variety and not create a landfill of oddly shaped cups that will befuddle the alien explorers that will come after we're long extinct, probably due to extreme coffee consumption and Trump/Kim Junk Goon fighting over whose is bigger on twitter .
