This is a decent price for a 1TB notebook drive. The extra 8GB SSD is occasionally useful, but does not affect sustained throughput.
The seller claims a 5 star rating for itself, but if you look them up on the Internet, they get a 2.5 of 10 rating, for lousy customer support and selling used/old drives as new. (That was my experience with them)

It's probably best to spend a bit extra (or wait for another sale on a price near this WD price range as we get closer to the holiday season) for the Seagate FireCuda ST1000LX015 instead. The Seagate has 5 years warranty (from Seagate) vs 2 years of the WD (from the reseller). Also, there's a 128MB cache in the FireCuda (according to PDF specs at Seagate's website) vs 16MB cache on the WD.
Meh - 5400 RPM. I thought that the WD Black stuff was supposed to be top of the line, not 2nd rate like this. Buffered or not, its just not worth it IMO. And if this is not brand new I would not touch it in any case.
