Also, maybe because it includes software for Blu-Ray movie watching, which usually goes for around $30.
Speaking of which... does anyone know of any open source/free software for Blu-Ray movie playback? I used to have VLC configured but that was spotty on some movies.

If your having problems with VLC it's probably something in your setup because it's a great program that plays anything I throw at in. What type of PC do you have?
