Through July 31st, Amazon is now offering a $2 digital credit applicable to eBooks, digital music and videos when you select the free No-Rush Shipping option as an Amazon Prime member ($99/year; 30-day free trial). It was previously a $1 credit.

No-Rush Shipping is 5 to 7 business days. A good option if you don't really need the Prime 2-day shipping for a particular order.

They should offer you a credit every time. It should be equal to half their cost savings. If they save $4 by you selecting no-rush, then you should get a $2 credit every time. In this way, they save money, and they credit you for helping them save money. It's win-win.

The credits are nice and a decent nudge to lower shipment costs for them in case you don't really care, however they run out very quickly. You have to use them generally in about 45 days or else they expire. That sucks if you're trying to build them up to say, buy a whole album.

just remember to split your order into parts if you order more then one item.
So, you can get credit for an item not for an order.

More of a win for the consumer if it was a $2 credit towards physical goods instead of only digital downloads since the goods would have free shipping with Prime but digital delivery costs approach $0 on the scale they're doing it.

Saving $1 or even $2 and wait for a week at time more is BS....if you are frequent weekly buyer that different story.
