Can I program this for my neighbor's car? That would be fun.

Fobs are available for other vehicles too. This model wasn't for my F-150 but they had the one I needed and it was cheaper ($5).

Typically you need to already have a fob to program the new one. Otherwise you have to take it to the dealer to program and it gets more expensive. So don't wait until you lose your last one to get a replacement.

Research your vehicle before purchase. They list it as compatible with 1998 all the way through 2014 while these two eras used remotes that weren't compatible with each other.

Just to keep things straight.
You don't program the FOB.
You program the vehicle to accept the FOB.
