i actually bought one of these a while back. i barely used it, and after a few months the rubber started cracking and then broke. mileage may vary, but i'd say it will not last too long.
The rubber is definitely a 'wear' part on a slingshot - rubber breaks down, that's why they sell new tubes/bands at (or , or big5, or sports authority) right next to the slingshots.
That's like saying "I bought a BB gun and eventually I needed to oil it, and the co2 cartridge ran out. Piece of ****."
