While this is a good deal, the write times are kinda slow since the M500 120GB uses 128Gbit dies. The new M550 128GB uses twice as many 64Gbit dies and combined with a new controller is over twice as fast in writing. Mushkin has a similar die config on their Atlas 120GB and is roughly the same speed as the M550. The older M500-240GB is ~80% as fast as the new M550-128GB and is currently $110 for nearly twice the space. Also the updated retail price is $80 for the M500-120GB.
