I would've rolled over the OC store, but even at this price not enough of a bump for the extra watt's to upgrade either of the boys machines. One's on a Athlon II X4 645 3.1Ghz, the other is a Athlon II X3 450 Rana 3.2GHz both OC'd at like 3.4Ghz. Been looking for a good price on a couple of OEM FX-6300 (95W). I wouldn't mind them at $70 apiece on OEM's, but that going to need to happen fairly soon. I see the upgrade window closing on thier 870 mobo's, looks like AMD is truely done with anymore AM3+ socket releases. I was hoping they'd give one last hurrah to AM3 and let some systems get an advantage of one last price drop...
An Intel CPU/mobo starts to look like the better place.
Not worth 125w for this level of power. AMD better wake up or even their deep pocketed owners will not be able to bail them out again.
In actual use you aren't likely to see all that much of a difference, particularly when factoring the difference as % of total system consumption. IMO the main thing it affects is whether the stock heatsink and motherboard is acceptable if you are overclocking.

They got few Billions settlement from Intel so they got money.
