My cableco DVR sucks so bad that I am always tempted to go back to TV, but the extra $500 cost ( or ongoing mortgage payment) for the lifetime sub keeps me away. I think if they did not have such tight DRM I would have been swayed.

This one won't allow you to go back to OTA if that is what your statement implies. Only the four tuner unit has OTA capability.
