So, in a dangerous emergency, how are you going to provide boiling water, which is required to prepare the meals. Sometimes lighting a fire is not a good idea.

You don't necessarily need boiling water to eat these. I eat Mountain House freeze dried food packets as-is, no boiling water or cooking whatsoever. Hasn't killed me yet. Tastes fine too, extra crunchy!

Only downside is that these ultra preserved foods don't provide full nutrition that fresh fruits and veggies do. I haven't tried testing the limits of how long you could survive on them alone, but I suspect it wouldn't be long before you start having serious deficiencies.

A true Prepper needs to have a functioning hydroponics system or organic food forest to truly survive in style and good health, not just a stack of these food buckets.

Seriously, do we really want to be around if we can't get a good taco?

It's generally cheaper to source your own water and wood than paying to have some shipped to you. If you have the forethought to buy this, surely you also thought about heating water.

Wise and mountain house are the top companies that provide this type of emergency preparedness. Other brands offer a hearing one time use heating unit so all you need to do is add water

Might not have boiling water in an emergency but not having food would be life threatening. With all the hurricanes lately I would buy one
