^ Yeah the media seems to expand to fill all available space, though at 48TB you might have more than one lifetime worth.

You can get way better value if you're willing to shuck an external drive. Take a look at youtube to see how simple it is before you bite one a WD red drive.

^ Way better? WD 4GB externals cost more than this right now, though moving up to their 6TB you can get a little less cost per GB (close to same) but then lose the warranty shucking it and don't get the NAS optimized firmware, and might get an SMR instead of CMR drive.
