I installed this with a friend, but it was tricky. Be prepared to have some thinner wood to cut and act as shims around the outside of the edges. I love it now that's it's done, but make sure you get good screws, and don't skimp on them.
The house we moved into a few years ago already had one of these and it's super convenient not to have to grab a ladder every time you want to get access to the attic (like we did in our old house).
The weight limit is a huge issue. Most people store **** in their attic and you know that job belongs to the dad. A limit of 250# is too low for a typical adult male AND any number of different boxes and objects with a fair amount of leeway. I would recommend at least a 300# capacity if not more.
