Fake news. Check the comparisons between free vs full. This is not a free full-use license. Only a crippled version. Among other major differences, watermarks, 5 minute files max. Nothing worthwhile for free here. - Trolls_suck
Thanks for saving me the time looking into this and being disappointed. Even tho I'm still disappointed 😞
It's the same as the last few times, this is a valid deal.
The landing page to download, no longer shows the activation code.
You will need the code below to convert the trial version (with 5 minute video length limitation) into the unlimited length version, with no watermark.
In past VideoProc Giveaways, there was a time limit on activation, looks like it was 12 days after I got the last version, don't know how long is remaining on this version but the code below worked a few minutes ago. It is not unique, same code works for everyone on the giveaway. You do not have to give them a valid email address to have the code work, AFAICT. I might be wrong about that, I gave them a valid email and clicked activate on the email they sent, BUT I tested whether it worked > 5 minutes before I did that, and it did work.
I did test with and without this code, it does work to allow > 5 minutes videos:
I'm used to Avidemux for simple conversion jobs, but this is FAR faster than Avidemux for that if you have a GPU that has acceleration support... maybe even faster if you don't, though it doesn't have the filters that Avidemux does.
Hmm, as Trolls_suck stated, they have updated the webpage with a field to input your email address to get a different code than I posted. Not sure what's up with that.
Webpage states offer ends in 6 days 10 hrs, but their email states must be registered before Oct 31st.
My installation yesterday with the old code, still works for videos over 5 minutes.
I disagree with Trolls_suck and kumer1866. I downloaded a copy and transcoded a 3 hour video. The good news, it only took ~15 minutes and didn't crash. It also used most of the threads, unlike previous versions which only used one. The claim of making small videos was, as usual, BS; it took a 2GB file and turned it into a 3.4GB file.
I'll continue using Handbrake (free).
