Nothing beats a receiver and speakers though.
I had a high end Samsung soundbar for a couple years and then got JBL 190 speakers and Yamaha receiver and wish I had done it earlier.

concur that a real receiver and speaker set up in much nicer, but if you are limited on space, these sound bars do the trick just fine
